Boy with autism, 13 from Maryland, rescued by Frederick County Sheriff’s Office

Friday, March 11, 2011, a 13-year-old autistic boy wandered from his home. The parents realized their son was missing at 5:30p.m. The father then began searching before calling. An 1 hour and 30 minutes later a call was made at 7:14p.m. by the father to Frederick County Sheriff’s Office where he indicated he was a client of PLI.

PLI arrived and began their search and tracked the young boy at 9:30p.m. He wandered within 2.5 miles from his house, near large ponds and streams and was examined and later brought home to his parents. Another great rescue, well done Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.

On April 18, 2012 around 11pm members from the Stafford County Virginia Sheriff’s Office Project Lifesaver team were notified by a caretaker’s facility that an 89-year-old man with Dementia had gone missing.
