You work hard to keep your loved ones safe. We can help.
The U.S. Department of Justice – Office of Justice Programs – Bureau of Justice Assistance has awarded federal funding to assist in education, awareness, equipment, and public policy efforts to help expand Project Lifesaver’s lifesaving program across the country – directly helping individuals that suffer from Alzheimer’s disease/dementia who wander.
Project Lifesaver is a network of first responders who combine the power of simple, effective tracking technologies with proven search and rescue techniques to find your loved one safely and quickly, should they wander. Now, for a limited time, up to 1,800 families may enroll in the program at no cost, thanks to a grant from the U.S. Bureau of Justice Assistance. This is our family stipends program.
Individuals enrolled in the program in each county have batteries changed monthly to ensure proper functionality of their transmitters, and now those batteries and straps will be provided to the clients for one year, free of charge. This includes the actual transmitter, plus the year supply of batteries and bands. Additionally, these individuals that enroll in the program under the grant will also receive a free wandering kit from the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, including a DVD and brochures on Alzheimer’s disease, caregiving, and wandering prevention.
Put Project Lifesaver to work for you!
Please contact Tommy Carter for more information on the family stipends – tcarter@projectlifesaver.org or 1-757-546-5502 Ext. 102.
