Presidential Citizen’s Medal

The news seems to filtering out concerning the recent Presidential Citizens Award recipients and the fact that I didn’t make the cut. I have already received one call offering condolences on not being selected. To those who offer such, thank you for your support. I can tell you that while it would have be neat to be named and have Project Lifesaver receive recognition, I do congratulate all the winners for their extraordinary service. I still have a mission to spread the program, giving agencies the tools and training necessary to protect those at risk of becoming lost and returning them home safely to their families. I have had the priviledge of receiving some awards in the past, and I can tell you that no award comes close to the feeling you get when you return a loved one, who had been lost, safely and unharmed.

I thank those who submitted the nominations and you have my word I’ll continue on in my quest because, in reality, I receive an emotional award every time we receive an after action report from an agency telling us how they just located and took someone home, as a result of Project Lifesaver and this great program.
