Project Lifesaver Salutes the Nations First Responders

Their image is a reflection of the men and women that on September 11th, 2001 selflessly risked and gave their lives in order to save others.

On September 11th, 2001, the world watched in horror as the Twin Towers collapsed. Hundreds of police and firefighters rushed into those crumbling buildings in order to rescue the victims, knowing the dangers and the possible fate that awaited them.

On that dark day, those “first responders” showed all of us and the world what a real American hero looks like.

What’s most interesting is that these selfless acts of bravery are not new. Since the earliest days of Colonial America, law enforcement, firefighters, and first responders have played a critical role in the evolution of our nation, risking their lives and protecting the citizens, liberties, and rights of the communities they serve.

Today, as the nation continues to remember and honor the lives lost that fateful September day, we want to send our gratitude to these service members for their brave efforts during and in the aftermath this tragic moment in American History.
