Thank you to the COVID-19 frontlines

We salute you!

Throughout history, the poet and philosopher have observed and commented on human behavior during times of crisis. They all seem to have a common theme with a similar conclusion; that a crisis will bring out both the very best and the very worst in people and those individuals facing the crisis will show either a great depth of character or a complete absence of integrity.
Nearly 250 years ago, the American patriot and philosopher, Thomas Paine, in his revolutionary work, The Crisis, said; “THESE are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands by it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman”. He then goes on to say; “I love the man that can smile in trouble, that can gather strength from distress, and grow brave by reflection”.
And that is exactly what; law enforcement, first responders, healthcare professionals, research scientists, truck drivers, and all the dedicated Americans that are on the frontline of the COVID – 19 crisis are doing today.
You have, and will always have, the gratitude of the American people. This crisis will pass, and when it does your legacy will be one of honor, selflessness, and dedication to your fellow man.
Regarding the behavior of others during this crisis, history will not be so kind!
But always remember that your present situation is far from your final destination.
The best is yet to come for you; the REAL American Heroes.
