Project Lifesaver Hits another Milestone with 2,400 rescues with a 100% Success Rate

July 4, 2011 not only marked Independence Day but also another milestone reached by Project Lifesaver. Earlier in the month we sent out a press release referring to the warmer months trigger wandering to be more prevalent. Since, early March we have had over seventy rescues around the nation. The last two rescues were located in Norfolk, VA and Coral Springs, FL to round off our rescues to an even 2,400.

“This is another monumental moment for the organization, and it is with great pride all members, staff, citizens, of the Project Lifesaver community have had a hand in making us reach this number. If it weren’t for the request for the program to serve in communities and a demand to get the law enforcement and first responders involved we would not have been able to reach this achievement. With that said we extend our gratuities to everyone who has made this achievement possible and will continue to put our best foot forward in keeping your loved ones safe.“ said Chief Saunders.
