About Project Lifesaver International

Project Lifesaver International is a 501 (C)(3) non-profit organization that bridges the technological gap for “at-risk” populations and public safety agencies. We provide police, fire/rescue, and other first responders with a comprehensive program, including equipment and training, to quickly locate and rescue individuals with cognitive disorders who are prone to wandering, including those with Alzheimer’s disease, Autism, and Down Syndrome. The program serves the safety, security, and rescue needs of these individuals from all walks of life. They represent over 1,600 public safety agencies in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, six provinces in Canada, and Australia.

Project Lifesaver was the first organization to apply tracking technology for the search and rescue of individuals with cognitive disorders and we have remained the leader for the over 20 years. Because of their extensive experience in the search and rescue of wanderers, they have provided valuable insight and information in the development of policy and procedures for the search and safe recovery of wanderers. They, also, aid in the development of education for doctors, caregivers, school administrators, first responders, and families with loved ones at risk.
